The infrastructure comprises (main equipment):
Solar simulator with sensitivity to a broader range of wavelengths, at least between 300 nm and 1200 nm, and with longer lamp pulse duration, at least 100 ms or steady state, to characterize innovative PV materials and with the possibility of heating the samples for determining the temperature coefficients and for energy rating estimation
- Device characterization (illuminated and dark current-voltage (J-V) characteristics, external/internal quantum efficiency (EQE/IQE) with extended wavelength range up to 1800 nm
- WACOM class AAA dual-lamp solar simulator
- Fully equipped facilities for solar cells and PV module performance and reliability testing according to IEC Standards: Climatic chambers (UV, temperature cycling, humidity cycling), Corrosion chamber, PASAN AAA+ pulsed solar simulator for modules (new one under acquisition), IV dark, Mechanical tests (static load, hail impact), Diagnostic (IR, electroluminescence, dark and light measurements, insulation resistance), Light soaking.
