Lucia Vittoria Mercaldo holds a MS degree and a PhD in Physics from University of Salerno (Italy). She gained international research experience at University of Maryland (USA). After postdoctoral assignments in Italy and USA, she joined ENEA as research staff, initially working in the thin film silicon PV area. Currently, her main research interests are silicon heterojunction solar cells, selective contacts, and perovskite solar cells, especially for development of perovskite/silicon tandem cells. She is experienced in fabrication via vacuum techniques, characterization and optimization of layers and solar cells. She has been involved in national and European projects, also as ENEA scientific representative.
