Short Bio

Vera La Ferrara is researcher and  is currently active in Photovoltaics group of ENEA leading the research of full fabrication and characterization of single and multi-cations perovskite based solar cells, from solution processing of layers to electrical contact evaporation. She received her master degree in Physics from University “Federico II” of Naples in 1994. From 1995 until 2000 she worked as research fellow at ENEA and University of Naples on fabrication and electrical/optical/morphological characterizations of porous silicon as antireflective layer for solar cells and sensor applications. She started her professional career at ENEA in 2000 in the field of nanostructured materials for sensor applications. She was supervisor of many B.Sc. M.S and  Ph.D. students in Physics and Engineering of materials and of international fellowship researchers too. Since 2004 she is experienced in nanomachining and morphological analysis by Focused Ion Beam. From 2015 to 2019 she has set up the clean room laboratory with suitable equipment, such as glove boxes, spinners, hotplates and thermal evaporator, to manufacture the full perovskite solar cells in controlled environment. Recently she leads part of research in monolithic perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells and part of planning for the supply of perovskite thermal co-evaporation equipment. She is experienced as work package leader of Italian national projects. She is co-author of 5 patents and more than 100 scientific papers published in international peer reviewed journals, book chapters and conference proceedings. Her h-index is 20 and citations are 1170 (scopus).

This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement N° 101006715
